What is with people

Hey there Everyone
As you all know I work at a Safeway Starbucks. In my job I see and meet allot of people.Some are good and some are nothing but rude crude jerks and bitches. There are even some that are great parents and some that should never have had kids.So my question is what is up with these people. It seems that teenagers and seniors are the worst. Let me tell you about some of the teenagers I have met since working there.
I have met some really great teenagers since working for Safeway. Take a couple of the girls I work with in the Starbucks.There are Three young ladies working there right now that are great. I mean that unlike allot of kids their age they have great work ethics and morals.Sure they like to socialize with their friends but so does everyone.But at least these girls try to keep it from interrupting their work. Now let me tell you about how great these girls are.
First there is Sarah she is a cheerleader and loyal friend. She is nice to everyone and treats everyone fairly and like she would like to be treated.She is a very hard and fast worker.In some ways she takes after me when it comes to working.We both like to know how to do things right and then be able to help make sure that the jobs are done properly the first time.She wants to take the training to be able to help with the paperwork and training of new employees so that she knows that they are able to do the job right.Like me she dos not like having to do her job as well as someone else's.When you work where we do it's all about team work and sharing the chores for keeping the kiosk running smoothly.That's why I love to work with her because she knows her job and I do not have to watch her all the time.She has a great work ethic which is hard to find in allot of the young people these day's.
Then there is Kelsey who also wants to do the extra training like Sarah.She works hard and knows her job.She loves her job and the fact that she gets to work with friends. She has traveled to several places in the last few months. She is always doing something and thinking of her co-worker's. Wherever she go's she takes pictures of her friends and her in front of Starbucks and then posts them at work.She knows that we love to see them as well.She is very friendly and outgoing and like Sarah she treats you like she would like to be treated.She keeps focused on the tasks needing to be done while at the same time still hanging out with friends.She likes to make everyone smile.Like Sarah it is easy to work with Kelsey and not worry about anything.She knows her job and is always interested in learning more or helping someone else learn a better easier way to do something.She is also quick when handling a rush in customers.She has a great work ethic as well.
Lastly there is Danica who is our Starbucks Drama Star. She is amazing when it comes's to juggling her work,friend's,family,church and her drama commitments.She just came back from Europe with Sarah and Kelsey.Where they all had a blast.Danica is another hard worker and she knows her job.She is fast in a crush of orders. She is always doing things to be helpful and to make everything run smoothly.She is able to multi task and still smile.She shows up on time and is able to jump right in to work.Her work ethic is fantastic as well. She is always doing something to keep busy.i love working with her as we are able to work well together and still catch up with what is going on in our lives.She has so many plan's for her future that I am amazed daily how she doe's it all.She is on smart bundle of energy.
These three girls are a rarity when it comes's to work ethic's.Most teenager's that I have met don't care about how they do the job or even if they do it at all.They are there to hang out with friends and get paid for it.They get a job and then don't seem to want to work.But if you give shifts to someone to wants to work they get mad.They complain about not getting more hours.They complain about having to do so many cleaning duties. All they seem to want to do is talk to their friends and to flirt with the cute guy's that come into the store.Then they wonder why they get talked to about not doing their job's and why the rest of us Hard workers do not like working with them.It's because they only make it harder for the rest of us to do our job properly.What I want to know is what is with their parents not teaching them to have better work ethics and that when at work you do your job and you take pride in doing it right the first time.
So do any of you have any work related horror stories about this problem.Let me know.

I just wanted to add one more thing to post.
I want to invite everyone to let me know of any good dating site's that you have tried. Or if you have any advice about online dating to impart please tell me.Or even any horror stories or success stories about online dating.Let me know. I know that I would love to hear from you and maybe some of the other reader's of my blog would love to hear them as well.Thank you everyone.

Happy Easter everyone. I am sorry about the time span between posting's.I was busy with work as usual.But the great news is that all of our ladies that went to Europe are back and they had a great time.
We have been so busy due to the Easter holiday that it has been hard to get online.I am still looking for Mr. Right.I will keep you all posted.I will try to post again tomorrow after I get back from my family's Easter dinner.I hope you all have a great Easter and will let me know how it went for you.I am making this posting short as it is late.I will write more tomorrow though about all the new happening's at work and home.Till then have fun and take care.

Happy Easter Everyone!

Hey there everyone I am so excited about Easter. Although it will be be the first one without my Grandmother. I am hoping that it will be a good one for everyone though. I have to work on Easter Sunday I think though. But hey the good side is the Holiday pay they give you when you work it though.
But to move on now. Can anyone tell me why some people think that it's OK for you to work your ass off while they go and take extended breaks and long lunch's.I mean I take only what I am supposed to take while other's take whatever they want. Yet if it was me or even you we would probably get fired or reprimanded for it.Not to mention that the other people would complain about you doing it even though they do it first. I think it is so unfair.What do you think.Let me know.
I wanted to let you know a little bit more about me. I have one older sister that is married and one son. My nephew is the cutest little guy.He reminds everyone of my Dad who passed in 1992. My mom and step dad live done the road from me. I am single but looking as you might have read. I am a what is called a BBW. I have been told that I look a little like Angelina Jolie.Not that I look for it myself.When I get my pics together and post them you will have to let me know if you see it as well.I Love kid's and want to have at least 2 or 3.But enough of that.

So I will keep you all posted on how it go's.I can't wait to see what happens.I hope to find the right man for me of course but you never know when or where or even how that will happen.All anyone can do is keep on trying until they find the right man or woman if that is what you are looking for. I might even meet allot of interesting people through that site and through my blog and become god friends with them.That would be great as well.
Now to tell you a little about work today.It was busy for most of the afternoon.But the morning was slower and allowed the acting boss and myself to get a few thing's done. I have to go into work Monday night to help do some training and to set up our displays for the next Starbucks launch.That is after I have already worked my opening shift that day.But hey it's more hours and more money and that is the main reason any of us work. I am just glad that thing's are going so well at work right now.
But to get back to the dating thing. I still have not heard from that Chris guy. Oh well his loss Right.i am going to end this posting now so that I can go check out some of the profiles of some of the men on the site.I will keep you posted.

Hello again Eveyone.

Well I had an okay day today. I am stil hoping to hear from you all soon.I would love some feedback on my blog.Only one more day of work before I get the day off to relax and spend more time writting on my blog.

I had to spend most of today alone at work due to some unschedualed issue's. But that was OK. I handled it fime.I got a couple of award pin's. But I want to update you all on the love life.There is not one at the moment.I still have not heard from that Chris guy.But I am not sweatin it. He was the one doing the chasing not me. But you never know maybe I will stil hear from him.So do you think I should give him another chance if he doe's call me. Or should I just tell him to get lost.Let me know what you think.I am holding judgement until I know why he did not call me again.Just in case it was due to work.We all know how that is.You get busy at work and have a hard time finding time to call or stop by.Right or Wrong.

I am thinking of checking out that dating site that was on Dr.Phil. The one for women wanting Sugar Daddy's.I think it was called Sugar Daddies.com. Maybe that is all I need.I will keep you posted on that after I check the site out.If any of you have checked it out let me know what you thought about it.Is it worth it or not.

Hey Everyone

So it's another day done for me.I just finished updating my profile.Check it out.I will be adding a picture soon. I hope to hear from you soon.

I wanted to make sure and tell you all about the great new drink coming out on April 3rd. It's a sweet milky caramel latte.It taste's great. It reminds me of Macintosh Toffee. I love it.also coming out are some great new retail products great for that garden lover in your life.You should check it out on April 3rd.

The Acting Boss is back

Hey Everyone

Sorry about not having written in a few day's.But I was busy getting the store ready for our acting manager. She had been on a holiday for a few week's. We all missed her. She came back yesterday and I handed the key's back over to her. It's nice to have her back.
Well still no word from that Chris guy.But I am not worried as it is his loss not mine. I was not the one chasing him. But I will not hold it against him if he doe's show up or call me. I will give him a second chance.
So the new drink coming out is going to be a sweet milky carmel flavored drink. A traditional italian drink.I can't wait to taste it. I am a little sad though that the Blackberry Green Tea Frappaccino is not comming back this summer though.Also not coming back are the banana coconut ones or even just the banana cream one.I loved those as well.But at least we still have the Cinamon Dolce still and will for awhile. That is great for all those that love it.

Welcome to everyone.

I hope to get to know everyone through my new blog. I am so excited to be doing this. I will try to make sure that you know as much as possible about me and my job. That includes who my fellow barista's are and a little about them. I will also include any news having to do with my life at work and my personal life. I hope that other Starbuck's employee's from both corporate and licensed stores will see this and like it. I personally work for a Licensed store inside a Canada Safeway in Alberta Canada.It's interesting that is for sure. I will try to keep you all up on the lives of all my co-worker's. I will even invite them to write their own story on my blog site.I consider all StarBucks Barista's male or female as co-worker's. So if you want to get to know me and my fellow worker's just come and visit us here at my blog.

Here is a sample of some of the going's on at my StarBuck's right now. We have three of the girls visiting Europe right now with their high school. I hope they are having fun there. They are all great girls and fantastic worker's.They are also some of are in house artist's.They love to do the chalk board sign's that we use. I can't wait for them to get back and tell us all about their trip. they plan on going to as many European StarBuck's as they can. I will try to get picture's to post for everyone to see. More on that later.

Moving on the other exciting thing happening right now is about me. On March 13 th I had a male customer come in.I was on my way to a meeting in Edmonton at the time. So I did not talk to him then. He came in the next two day's to talk to me. His name is Chris and he is very nice and pretty good looking as well. He asked me out. I said yes. Now we just have to arrange the time and place. He work's night's and I work day's. So I will keep you posted on that and let you all know how it go's.
